It's easy to go and grab something unhealthy again, keep that cycle going. Have a smoothie for breakfast and feel so much better. And if you do start to "droop" during the morning take another shake with you to work.

Abdominocentesis and protein loss in dogs?
My dog is going to get his abs drained today, because of fluid build up. The vet is cautious about doing this. They are concerned about protein loss. Can anyone tell me about this protein loss and how to gain it back once this done?
He was given lasix and it has not worked.
Shouldn't the Vet know that? I have never heard of a dog having their abs drained??? Can't he give him a mild diuretic or something? Maybe there are suppliments he can take for the protein, kindof like we do. And beef has lots of protein in it.
